    Steve’s passion for gin led him on a long journey to try nearly every variation of the spirit to attempt to create his perfect gin martini; shaken, no vermouth, up with a twist.

    A decade ago, Steve’s imagination was sparked after the experience of a single memorable cocktail in Sydney, Australia. This led him to the completely obvious conclusion; that he should build his own distillery and create his own spirits! Later he learned how to distill in Europe, then sought out the most modern distilling equipment on the market and brought it back to Palm Springs to be at the center of the first distillery built in this desert oasis town.

    Steve now uses the advanced technology at OASIS Distillery to innovate in the world of spirits; leading the development of our unique flavors and new sensory experiences.

    Currently a design leader at Google, Steve is in the business of translating ideas into elegant and effective customer solutions. As the designer and creator of our brand, OASIS Distillery gives Steve the opportunity to craft all aspects of our customer’s experience.

    And finally, as a by-product, he also gets to enjoy his perfect gin martini.

  • Tony Lee

    Co-Founder & COO

    Tony’s obsession with English breakfasts, afternoon teas, and the perfect pre-dinner gin and tonic are grounded in his British heritage.

    A Masters in Physics from Oxford built his analytical skills, which were then honed in the research laboratory. A career change to consumer electronics, a move to California, and multiple executive roles, including over a decade at Apple, added sales and marketing expertise.

    With respect to marketing, one of Tony’s favorite maxims is “Communication is not what you say, rather it is what your customer hears.” This is perfectly reflected in OASIS Distillery’s focus; not on our products, the spirits we make, but rather on solutions, the delicious cocktail creations our customers can make with them.

    On the operational front, as a Certified Craft Distiller from iStill University in The Netherlands, he brings the technical knowledge to create consistently high-quality spirits for our customers.

    Now, after making his home here in Palm Springs, Tony is focused on helping OASIS Distillery’s customers make and enjoy the best possible cocktails from our spirits.
